The bright reddish-purple skin makes this onion hard to miss; it's a favourite ingredient in salads. With a sharp, sweet flavour. To soften the taste, chill raw onions in ice water for 20 minutes before serving.

Sourced locally across the Shoalhaven, Far South Coast and a little from farmers in the Illawarra. They are grown under clear skies and fresh air, and enjoys hot sunny Summers and frosty Winters.
