Nourishing, flavoursome and an all-round healthy addition to your store-cupboard. Bone broth is THE way to go... so we have bones. To make said broth.

If you aren’t already making bone broth regularly, then you are missing out! Yes, yes, it is almost too hip for its own good...BUT it is also densely nutritious and totally worth the effort. Not only will EVERYTHING you use it in taste infinitely better - it is also an incredible source for immune boosting and health benefiting minerals.

We have single species bones: Beef, Lamb, Pork & Chicken (1.5kg lots) or you can purchase a combination (also 1.5kg lot), where we have done the hard work for you and sorted out an ideal combination for most nutrient, meat-ful broths. Or, if you would prefer the whole kit-and-caboodle (very efficient!) we can do a Bone Broth Box, from chicken or beef (1.5kg lot) with the extras you need to make it delicious: locally grown carrots, onions and garlic, select herbs and spices...

Any which way; we've got you covered.

Some notes of usefulness:

  1. Roast the bones first; it helps develop a more intense flavour, whilst the heat kickstarts the break-down process of the bones, so you can extract more nutrients.
  2. Make sure you use a big enough stock, but don't overload it with too much water. The bone-to-water ratio should be close enough that the resulting broth is intensely flavored. Adding too much liquid will make it taste watered down.
  3. Make sure you simmer it for a loooong time. How long should you cook it for? It depends on the type of bones you are using and how much time you have. Beef and lamb bones are bigger and hardier, so will take longer (you could easily simmer for 12-24hours than pork or chicken bones, which will start to disintegrate after hours on the heat.
